Promoting the continuity of studies and fostering the life trajectories of technical-professional high school students is the main objective of Aspirations About the Future. The initiative by the Luksic Foundation has reached over 100,000 fourth-year students in recent years, providing them with relevant information about the admissions process to higher education.

In its 2023 edition, 487 establishments, representing 52% of all technical-professional schools (TP) in Chile, were part of the initiative. Currently, registrations are open until March 28th for TP schools from all regions of the country to participate in the 2024 edition of Aspirations About the Future.

What is Aspirations About the Future?

The aim of this initiative is to promote the continuation of studies for young people by providing clear, direct, and personalized information about the admissions process to higher education.

To achieve this, a survey is conducted among fourth-year students to understand their interests and barriers regarding the continuation of studies, as well as their knowledge of the higher education system. Based on the information collected in this survey, two products are designed and generated:

Firstly, personalized information sets are provided to all fourth-year students in participating establishments, containing useful and practical information about careers, access processes to higher education, and student benefits.

Secondly, a personalized report is provided to each establishment, both in physical and digital format, containing the main survey results and general recommendations on how to support students when they are nearing the end of their school stage. The aim is for this report to be a tool that allows the establishment to make evidence-based decisions.

What is expected of participating schools?
