With this edition, more than 900 micro-entrepreneurs from across the country will have participated in the program, which provides funding of up to $5 million, training, and mentoring. The 250 winners of this edition represent all regions of the country, with 75% from regions other than the Metropolitan region.

Supporting entrepreneurs contributes to job creation, stimulates creativity, implementation of new ideas, and encourages economic diversification. These and many other reasons drive Fundación Luksic to provide concrete and comprehensive opportunities for men and women nationwide to boost the growth of their businesses.

Through Impulso Chileno program, which has conducted six editions since 2018, a total of 920 entrepreneurs have been supported. The recent 250 winners of the latest edition were announced on January 12th, each receiving funding between $3 and $5 million, training with the UC School of Management, and personalized mentoring by the Simón de Cirene Corporation.

Cristián Schalper, Director of the Entrepreneurship area at Luksic Foundation, congratulated the winners: “We received over 24 thousand applications with very good projects from all over Chile. We are very happy and proud of this new generation of entrepreneurs, and we hope that this support will allow them to consolidate their businesses, improve their business practices, contributing to the development and growth of their communities.”

Entrepreneurs from all regions of the country

In this sixth edition, the winners represent all regions of the country from Arica to Magallanes. The regions with the most winners are La Araucanía, Valparaíso, and Bíobio. On the other hand, 123 of the winners are women, 127 are men, and the most prominent sectors were food (34%), services (20.8%), and commerce (16%).

In January, participants in the sixth edition will begin the program through a virtual welcome ceremony and start academic support in March.

During 2023, Luksic Foundation, in collaboration with the international research center JPAL Poverty Action Lab, conducted an impact evaluation of the program to verify if the results obtained in previous editions are attributable to the program, such as the winners of the third edition increasing their sales by an average of 83%. The results of the evaluation will be available in the first half of 2024.
