The third version of the Impulso Chileno contest, an initiative of the Luksic Foundation in alliance with the Corporación Simón de Cirene and the Escuela de Administración UC, awarded 100 entrepreneurs from all over the country this Wednesday so that they can strengthen and move their businesses forward.

More than 18 thousand people participated in the contest, which was initiated by businessman Andrónico Luksic three years ago.

Of the total fund of $500 million chilean pesos available to distribute among the winners, a total of $462,600,000 chilean pesos was allocated among the 100 winning entrepreneurs of this third version of the contest. They will receive between $3 and $5 million chilean pesos to finance their businesses, 6 months of training with the Corporación Simón de Cirene and mentoring coordinated by the Corporación Simón de Cirene.

“This year has been very hard and challenging for everyone, especially for the entrepreneurs from all over Chile, who despite all the adversities have shown us what resilience means. They are an example that excites and inspires! And we know that today more than ever they need a lot of support. That is why today we are proud to award the 100 winners of Impulso Chileno, passionate women and men who work with conviction for their businesses and to whom we want to give this academic and economic boost, so that they can continue to move forward with strength”, said Andrónico Luksic.

This year 51% of the winners are women and 70% come from the regions, while 30% are from the Metropolitan Region. To evaluate the finalists, an Evaluation Committee was created, composed of members of the Simon de Cyrene Corporation, the UC School of Management and the Luksic Foundation, who were also in charge of assigning the amount of funding that each winner will receive, based on the evaluation of the project.

“We applaud the commitment demonstrated by all the finalists during this process, they had conviction and heart when presenting their projects. We will soon begin the academic program for this new generation of Impulso Chileno winners, to whom we hope to give the support they need to get their projects off the ground,” said Paola Luksic, president of the Luksic Foundation.

The 100 winners will begin in January the process of academic accompaniment that will consist of classes and training with academic experts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica and mentoring by members of the UC School of Management and the Luksic Group.

The list of winners can be reviewed on the official website of the contest www.impulsochileno.cl and all the information is available on their social networks.
