Luksic family donates one million specialized face masks

The Luksic family announced through the Luksic Foundation that it will provide the Medical Association with one million specialized masks (KN95) for the protection of health personnel throughout Chile in the context of the health crisis that the country is experiencing due to the Coronavirus.

In addition, the Foundation reported that it is working intensively with foreign suppliers to also deliver one million gloves. “As Luksic family we are 100% committed to Chile. Therefore, we will make available to @colmed_chile 1 million specialized masks and we are working intensively to add 1 million surgical gloves; to protect health workers throughout Chile”, was the message posted by the Luksic Foundation on its social media accounts (@FundaciónLuksic).

The items will be made available to the Medical Association, which will coordinate with government agencies to identify the most urgent recipients of this donation, in all regions of Chile.

The Luksic Foundation is moving forward with the procedures and formalities required for an import of this magnitude, especially at a time of high global demand.

The items will be brought from China, and today all efforts are being made to ensure that the medical supplies arrive as soon as possible.

This donation is in addition to the recent contribution made by the Luksic family to the fund managed by the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), which seeks to raise $50,000 million to combat the Coronavirus and which has been made available to the Ministry of Health to define the destination of the resources.
