More than 2,000 entrepreneurs from across the country received machinery and training through the Impulso Inicial program

In 2024, unlike previous years, Fundación Luksic’s Impulso Inicial program implemented specific application windows: in March for the gastronomic sector, in June for sewing and tailoring businesses, and in September for manual and artisanal trades. Selected participants received machinery and training to boost their business growth.

One of the goals of the Impulso Inicial program by Fundación Luksic is to help entrepreneurs across the country increase their sales, enhance their business skills, and modernize their operations with high-quality fixed assets. To that end, this initiative provides machinery and, starting this year, a training curriculum aimed at improving the efficiency and profitability of entrepreneurs.

The program seeks to support owners of traditional businesses that have been operating consistently for at least six months. In 2024, specific calls for applications were held for certain sectors to improve service quality and efficiency. These calls generated significant interest, with over 50,000 applications received from entrepreneurs across Chile.

Before the official application processes began, 400 entrepreneurs from various sectors were supported. The first official call took place in March, targeting entrepreneurs in the gastronomy sector. In this round, 588 business owners were selected to receive semi-industrial machinery and training on quality standards, menu engineering, formalization, health resolutions, and food marketing.

The second application round was held in June, during which 500 entrepreneurs received fixed assets and training focused on trends in sewing and tailoring, business administration, formalization, and digital marketing. The third and final call supported 500 beneficiaries involved in manual and artisanal trades, providing them with fixed assets and training in business administration, formalization, and digital marketing.

The more than 2,000 entrepreneurs supported this year are part of the over 14,000 beneficiaries of the Impulso Inicial program, 90% of whom are women, and 70% come from regions outside the Metropolitan Region. “At the Foundation, we know that training is a key element for personal development. We have witnessed that what truly makes a difference in entrepreneurship is the training component. We are very proud of the more than 2,000 entrepreneurs from Impulso Inicial who began their training journey this year, and we hope that many more will join in the coming years,” said Cristian Schalper, Director of Entrepreneurship at Fundación Luksic, regarding the redesign of the Impulso Inicial program.

For 2025, the program will continue its mission of supporting entrepreneurs across the country. All information about application dates and requirements will be published on the Fundación Luksic website and social media channels.
