Beneficiaries will receive tools, machinery, and training to grow their businesses. Formal registration is not required to apply, but the business must have been operational for at least six months. The Luksic Foundation’s program has supported more than 14,000 entrepreneurs nationwide. In the March call, which was aimed at the gastronomic sector, about 600 entrepreneurs were selected.

With the aim of giving a boost to entrepreneurs from across the country to improve their productive capacities and increase their sales, the Luksic Foundation has opened applications for the 2nd call of Impulso Inicial for 2024. This time, the call is aimed at entrepreneurs in the sewing and garment sector, who will receive machinery, tools, and training.

Since its creation in 2018, the program has supported more than 14,000 entrepreneurs from various sectors and from all regions of the country to grow their businesses. Karen Guerra, an entrepreneur from Chépica, O’Higgins Region, received an industrial sewing machine for her business Girasueños, where she designs and makes bags, purses, scrunchies, fanny packs, and cases.

“It was a great help to improve my production and increase sales. Receiving support from Initial Boost also allowed me to believe even more in my talent, to realize I can go much further, and that I have no limits,” said the entrepreneur.

Cristián Schalper, Director of the Entrepreneurship area at the Luksic Foundation, highlighted that starting this year, the program complements the provision of tools and machinery with training. “We know that one of the elements most valued by entrepreneurs is the training opportunities and the networks they form with other participants. That is why we hope this support, which is complemented by the tools and machinery provided by the program, will help them improve their business skills, enhance their leadership, and increase the chances of their business succeeding,” emphasized the Entrepreneurship Director.

Requirements and Application Form

Impulso Inicial is aimed at both formalized and non-formalized entrepreneurs who have an active business with at least six months of regular and demonstrable operation. Other requirements to apply include being Chilean or a foreigner with permanent residency in Chile, being over 18 years old, being the business owner, and having a valid Social Household Registry certificate.

Starting in 2024, the program’s operation will be based on calls with specific focuses. The first call, in March, was dedicated to the gastronomic sector and benefited about 600 entrepreneurs from all regions of the country.
