Under the slogan “Teletón: Together, Every Day,” the 35th edition of the nationwide solidarity campaign kicked off on Friday, November 8. The event unites millions across Chile, from north to south, to support the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and young people with motor disabilities. The goal is to improve their quality of life and foster their social inclusion.
As it has since the campaign’s inception, the Luksic family reaffirmed its commitment to the institution and its mission, as well as to the more than 1,100 dedicated professionals working within it. This year, the family pledged $1.8 billion Chilean pesos to fund the Antofagasta Teletón Institute’s operations in 2025.
“At Fundación Luksic, we share Teletón’s purpose: to support individuals in developing their talents, skills, and abilities so they can reach their full potential. That’s why we’ve chosen once again to stand behind this noble cause. As a family and as a foundation, our hearts are deeply connected to Antofagasta, which makes supporting Teletón’s incredible work in this region—and throughout Chile—all the more meaningful,” said Isabella Luksic, General Manager of Fundación Luksic.
Located in the La Chimba neighborhood, the Antofagasta Teletón Institute is one of the most modern rehabilitation centers in the country. Its state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated in 2020, spans 10,000 square meters and features cutting-edge technology and specialized equipment. The construction of the center was pledged by the Luksic family in 2014 and realized through a donation of $10 billion Chilean pesos. Since its completion, Fundación Luksic has remained committed to funding its ongoing operations through every Teletón campaign.
In May 2024, the Antofagasta Institute hosted “Together for Inclusion,” a groundbreaking three-day event that brought together more than 80 para-athletes from seven regions of Chile. Organized by Fundación Luksic in collaboration with Teletón, the event featured competitive sports, recreational activities, and educational sessions for delegations from Teletón Institutes in Arica, Iquique, Calama, Atacama, Coquimbo, Santiago, Valparaíso, and Antofagasta.
