You can now apply for Impulso Chileno 3: there will be 100 winners

28 •  Sep •  2020

Applications for the third version of the Impulso Chileno contest are open as of Monday, September 28. The call this time is aimed at entrepreneurs from all over the country, who are formalized and need financing and training to move forward with their businesses. The Luksic Foundation initiative – which in 2018 and 2019 awarded 60 entrepreneurs respectively – increased the total number of winners to 100 and the fund to a total of $500 million chilean pesos to be distributed.

Each of the 100 winners may receive between $3 million and $5 million chilean pesos, depending on their performance in the application. In addition, they will receive academic support through classes and training for 6 months with the Escuela de Administración UC, and personalized support with mentors from Corporación Simón de Cirene, an expert in entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurs will be able to apply for their businesses through the contest website from today until Sunday, October 11. During the third week of October, 400 semifinalists will be selected to move on to a second stage and then an evaluation committee, made up of representatives of the Luksic Foundation, Simon de Cirene and the Universidad Católica de Chile, will choose the 100 winners, which will be published the second week of December.

“We have the deepest conviction that entrepreneurs are the engine of our country and this year they need more than ever that we support them and give them a boost. That is why, with Impulso Chileno, we want to provide them with financing for their businesses, academic support and mentoring. Entrepreneurs are resilient, with that spirit we have to work together for the reactivation of Chile”, said Andrónico Luksic, creator of the program.

In this line is that this version of the contest aims to reward those who have developed a formalized entrepreneurship – with the start of activities of First Category before the Servicio Impuestos Internos – in order to generate sustainable growth in each of the winning businesses, which will help to overcome the crisis triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Given the current context in Chile, we wanted to redouble our efforts in the area of entrepreneurship and therefore decided to increase the number of Impulso Chileno winners from 60 to 100. We hope, as we have done in previous versions, to reach men and women from all over the country in order to support them with their projects,” said Paola Luksic, president of the Luksic Foundation.

All information is available on the contest’s social networks and to apply, please visit the website www.impulsochileno.cl.
