Who we are

Fundación Luksic is the first and oldest of the Luksic family foundations. Our history began with the social work carried out in the 1960s by Andrónico Luksic Abaroa. The Foundation groups the contributions made by the Luksic family in different areas with a common denominator: to collaborate with Chile and the people living in the country.

Our history

    Sustainable development for Chile

With the purpose of contributing to the sustainable development of Chile, the Foundation continues its work in the areas that have traditionally been part of its history: Entrepreneurship, Education, Sports and International Training. Additionally, the area of Childhood is incorporated, under the conviction that starting with solid foundations in life is fundamental for the development of people. And also the area of Conservation, to protect, educate and preserve the natural heritage for future generations.

    Sustainable development for Chile

    Boosting female talent

The Luksic More Women in STEM Scholarships were launched to encourage higher technical studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, together with the “Women who can do anything” campaign, which brings together more than 20 organizations.

    Boosting female talent

    Connecting Chile with the world

The Luksic Scholars Foundation is integrated into the Luksic Foundation under the International Education area, whose purpose is to connect Chile with the world and vice versa. This transformation responds to the vision that a better prepared country has better tools to face the challenges of our time.

    Connecting Chile with the world

    Training to drive

Isabella Luksic assumes the general management of the Foundation. Under the objective of “Formar para Impulsar”, processes of study, redesign and evaluation of the programs developed so far are being developed in order to better respond to the needs that are being addressed and to deliver a quality social service.

    Training to drive

    Sport for children's development

The Luksic Foundation’s Sports Schools program, which offers free soccer and field hockey workshops for boys and girls from different communities in the Metropolitan and Antofagasta regions, with a focus on the development of socioemotional skills and healthy living, is officially launched.

    Sport for children's development

    Support for female entrepreneurship

The first version of Despega Mujer, a program to support women entrepreneurs with a gender focus, was held. In its first version, 70 women entrepreneurs participated.

    Creation of educational networks

The first versions of REMA (Educational Networks for the Improvement of Learning) were implemented, a program that works with teachers and management teams in a network to collaboratively strengthen learning in Language and Mathematics in the first and second half of the school year. The first version of Aspiraciones (Aspirations), which provides key information to students in the fourth year of secondary school about opportunities for access to higher education, is also being carried out.

    Creation of educational networks

    Family philanthropy umbrella

The Luksic Foundation underwent a restructuring process and began to group under its organization the work that until then had been carried out separately by the foundations Impulso Inicial, Luksic Scholars and Educacional Luksic.
