Fundación Luksic Opens Applications for Impulso Chileno to Provide Funding to 500 Entrepreneurs Across Chile

In Chile, millions of people start businesses every day to support their families, develop a talent, turn an idea into a project, or keep alive a trade passed down from one generation to the next. An entrepreneurial spirit is part of the country’s identity, with many people driven not only by the desire to generate income, but also to create new opportunities for their families and communities.

With the aim of creating new opportunities for these businesses to grow, Fundación Luksic has opened applications for the eighth edition of Impulso Chileno, a program founded by Andrónico Luksic in 2018. This year, the program will provide up to CLP $5,000,000 to 500 entrepreneurs from Arica to Magallanes to invest in their businesses.

“When we support an entrepreneur, we want their business to grow and, in addition to generating more income, to improve their quality of life, better organize their time, and have more time for their families. That is the purpose of our programs: to support entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses and in the well-being that this growth can bring,” explains Cristián Schalper, Social Programs Manager at Fundación Luksic.

With this new call for applications, 1,920 entrepreneurs from across Chile will have received funding through Impulso Chileno. One of the requirements to apply is to have registered first-category business activities with Chile’s Internal Revenue Service (Servicio de Impuestos Internos, SII), either as an individual or legal entity, before March 1, 2026, and to be the owner or majority shareholder of the business.

The business must have annual net sales of more than 150 UF and less than 5,000 UF during the last calendar year. For businesses that have been operating for less than one year, the corresponding proportional sales will be considered. In addition, in order for an application to be eligible, each entrepreneur must register with La Brújula del Emprendedor, Fundación Luksic’s free digital platform that provides entrepreneurs with a business diagnosis and access to content and tools to strengthen their businesses according to their needs.

“Our purpose as a foundation is to trust in order to drive progress. We believe that people’s skills and talent are fundamental to Chile’s development. Impulso Chileno was born from that conviction: we want to provide a concrete opportunity to those who own a business. Our invitation to entrepreneurs across the country is to dare to think big and continue growing their projects,” says Macarena Cea, General Manager of Fundación Luksic.

One example of the impact this support can have is Daniela Campos, a 2022 Impulso Chileno winner with her business Dulce Moni (@pasteleriadulcemoni), and the face of this year’s campaign. Daniela left her formal job to start her own business and better balance her family life. With the funding she received, she was able to purchase equipment that increased her production capacity and allowed her to reach new customer segments.

“Winning Impulso Chileno was a turning point; it was a personal recognition. I have been working in baking and pastry for many years, and sharing my knowledge with other women entrepreneurs has allowed me to achieve many of my dreams and goals,” Daniela says. “The purpose that inspired me to start this business makes so much sense today. I can be more present in my children’s lives, and I am very happy that I dared to think big,” she says proudly.

Applications will be open until September 15 at fundacionluksic.cl.
