More than 5,000 entrepreneurs from across the country applied to Impulso Senior 2026
The call for applications, launched by the Luksic Foundation in partnership with Caja Los Andes, was aimed at entrepreneurs over the age of 50 with registered businesses. Its goal is to strengthen their ventures by providing semi-industrial machinery and digital tools that will enable them to professionalize their production processes and increase their sales.
The second edition of Impulso Senior was open from March 2 to March 16. This initiative aims to support entrepreneurs over the age of 50 from all regions of the country who view entrepreneurship as an increasingly important way to strengthen their economic independence, share their knowledge, and continue contributing to the country’s development.
The call for applications received more than 5,000 submissions from entrepreneurs across Chile, 73% of whom are from regions outside the Metropolitan Region. Cristián Schalper, director of the Entrepreneurship Division at the Luksic Foundation, highlighted the widespread interest the initiative generated: “We are very pleased with the initial results. We’ve seen how thousands of experienced entrepreneurs are seeking to continue strengthening their businesses and showcasing their talent. For us, it’s incredibly valuable to be able to support them with concrete tools that allow them to give their ventures a new boost.”
In this edition, more than 500 entrepreneurs will be selected to receive support.
Next steps
The Luksic Foundation team will be responsible for the selection process, verifying that applicants meet the general eligibility requirements. The evaluation of applicants will take place from March 17 through June 1, 2026, while the process of procuring machinery and finalizing the project will occur between June 1 and August 17, 2026.

Impulso Senior is part of the Luksic Foundation’s Impulso Emprendedor program, which to date has supported more than 18,500 men and women across the country. Throughout the year, additional calls for applications will be issued with the goal of continuing to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs seeking to professionalize their projects and continue growing.
