CEI and Fundacion Luksic Invite Organizations to Apply for a Course on the Implementation and Scaling of Social Programs
The program seeks to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) to implement and scale evidence-based social programs, promoting informed decision-making, contextual adaptation, and the long-term sustainability of their initiatives. Applications will be open until July 15, and the course will be held in person in Puerto Montt, Antofagasta, and Santiago.
The challenge for those running social programs does not always lie in the design: the difference between a good idea and real change lies in how it is implemented. With this in mind, Fundacion Luksic and the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI) of Australia are calling on civil society organizations (CSOs) from across Chile to participate in the second edition of the Course on the Implementation and Scaling of Social Programs — a free, in-person program aimed at strengthening the capacities of those who lead these processes.
The course seeks to provide tools so that organizations can make evidence-based decisions, adapt their programs to different contexts, and drive their long-term sustainability. Each organization may enroll two representatives: one in a leadership role and one with implementation responsibilities.
The initiative aims to reach CSOs throughout the country, which is why three in-person courses will be held, each with a maximum capacity of 30 CSOs, with up to two representatives per organization:
- Southern Zone: August 24–25 in Puerto Montt, for CSOs from La Araucanía, Los Ríos, Los Lagos, Aysén, and Magallanes.
- Northern Zone: August 27–28 in Antofagasta, for CSOs from Arica y Parinacota, Tarapacá, Antofagasta, and Atacama.
- Central Zone: August 31–September 1 in Santiago, for CSOs from Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Metropolitana, O’Higgins, Maule, Ñuble, and Biobío.
To be eligible to apply, organizations must be non-profit and legally incorporated in Chile, must currently be implementing one or more social programs, and must work with individuals or communities in vulnerable contexts or in areas of public interest.
“Together with CEI, we want social organizations in our country not only to design good programs, but to know how to implement, measure, and scale them. Those who participate in this course will gain quality tools to ensure their programs generate impact in people’s lives and promote their well-being,” says Fernanda Orellana, Head of Training Programs at Fundacion Luksic.
Applications can be submitted until July 15 through the form available at www.fundacionluksic.cl. For inquiries, please contact internacional@fundacionluksic.cl.
