Teletón 2026: The Luksic Foundation Reaffirms Its Commitment to the Operation of the Teletón Antofagasta Institute
On Friday, Macarena Cea, the general manager of the Luksic Foundation, announced a contribution of 2 billion pesos to fund the operation of the center, which treats more than 1,000 patients from the region each year.
Under the slogan “Join what unites us,” Teletón kicked off a new edition of its campaign this Friday, November 6, which every year brings together millions of Chileans around a common goal: to support the comprehensive rehabilitation of children and young people with motor disabilities, helping to improve their quality of life and promote their social inclusion.
True to its longstanding commitment to Teletón, the Luksic Foundation announced a donation of $2,000 million to fund the operations of the Teletón Antofagasta Institute in 2027. This center provides nearly 40,000 consultations per year, and in 2026, it supported the rehabilitation process for more than 1,300 patients.
The new Teletón Institute in Antofagasta opened its doors in 2020, after the Luksic family committed to its construction in 2014 and funded it with a donation of $10 billion. Since then, the Luksic Foundation has consistently supported the center’s operations through every edition of Teletón.
“Our hearts are in Antofagasta, and for many years we’ve had a very close relationship with Teletón and this institute. At the Luksic Foundation, we firmly believe that when we trust in people’s abilities and empower them with the right support, they can grow and achieve their goals and dreams,” said Macarena Cea, general manager of the Luksic Foundation.
This year, the Teletón Institute in Antofagasta hosted the Antofagasta Family Festival. The event, organized by the Luksic Foundation in partnership with Teletón and Antofagasta Minerals, brought together more than 550 people from the region for a day of music, art, and workshops aimed at strengthening school community and creating opportunities for families to come together.
