The 500 winners of Impulso Chileno have been selected
The call for applications for the Impulso Chileno program closed in October, to which nearly 23,000 entrepreneurs applied, and the 500 winners have already been announced and, depending on their projects, will receive up to 5 million pesos to invest in machinery and products.
Fundación Luksic announced the 500 winners of the seventh version of Impulso Chileno, a program that seeks to strengthen the growth of entrepreneurs throughout the country through financing. In this edition, the foundation will award a total of 1,287 million pesos and doubled the number of beneficiaries compared to previous years, thus seeking to strengthen the work of Chile’s SMEs.
Since its creation in 2018, the program has supported more than 1,420 entrepreneurs, witnessing thousands of stories of growth, resilience and effort. The general manager of Fundación Luksic, Macarena Cea, highlighted that: “each entrepreneur contributes not only to economic development, but also to the well-being of their communities. That is why we at the Foundation will continue to trust them and accompany them so that their businesses continue to grow and generate positive effects throughout Chile.
Among those selected, it should be noted that nationally there were more than 340 women winners, representing 68% of the beneficiaries, where the sectors with the highest participation were services, food and commerce. In addition, 88% of those selected belonged to regions outside the Metropolitan Region, including La Araucanía, Valparaíso, Maule and Biobío.
Cristian Schalper, Director of Entrepreneurship at the Luksic Foundation, noted that: “This year, applicants to Impulso Chileno were able to participate in our Entrepreneur’s Compass, a free platform through which people can learn which areas of their business need to be strengthened, as well as access specific content and tools to boost their businesses”.
