Impulso Mujer: call for proposals will award up to $2 million to formalized women entrepreneurs
The Luksic Foundation’s initiative seeks to support the growth and consolidation of businesses led by women, in a context where the burden of care continues to be one of the main barriers to their insertion and permanence in the labor market, positioning entrepreneurship as a real and necessary alternative. The call for proposals will be open until June 2 at luksicfoundation.cl.
In Chile, female unemployment returned to double digits in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 10% and accumulating an increase of 0.5 percentage points in twelve months. The situation is worse for those who are mothers: according to the report Zoom de Género N°37 prepared by the Observatorio del Contexto Económico of the Universidad Diego Portales, ChileMujeres and the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), when there are children under five years old at home, women’s labor participation drops to 58.3%.
The phenomenon is not isolated; behind this number there are multiple structural barriers, from the greater domestic burden and family restrictions, to difficulties in accessing financing, digital gaps and the cost of training.
Against this backdrop, the Luksic Foundation has opened applications for Impulso Mujer, a program designed especially to empower women entrepreneurs with formalized businesses with financing of between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. This amount can be used for the purchase of fixed assets, tools for the digitalization of the business, dissemination and working capital.
“Many women entrepreneurs have low self-confidence, a factor that undermines the idea that their businesses can progress and be commercially successful, so it is essential to provide them with concrete support opportunities. We trust in their talent, in their abilities and we have to value their work because they not only build businesses, they support families and contribute to the country,” says Cristián Schalper, manager of social programs at the Luksic Foundation.
This 2026, Impulso Mujer will support 300 women entrepreneurs from all over Chile who meet certain requirements: they must be formalized in the first category, have monthly sales of more than $100,000 and less than $8,000,000 during the months of January, February and March 2026, and be registered and have completed the diagnosis of The Luksic Foundation’s Entrepreneur’s Compass. This is a free free digital platform that, through a simple questionnaire, helps entrepreneurs to organize their business and define their next steps, providing them with a personalized path with practical content and tools according to their needs.
This program, with a gender focus, has supported 390 women to date. One of them is María José Bon from Rancagua who has her business “En Modo Emprendedor” where she seeks to connect and promote the ecosystem by disseminating opportunities through her social networks and podcast. social networks and podcasts. About the support she says that “it came at an important time in my life, where I was facing changes and looking to move towards new challenges. The meeting spaces with other women were key for me, giving me tools and learning that I did not know as an entrepreneur. This whole process has allowed me to grow and feel more confident both personally and professionally.
The call for applications will be open until June 2 and those interested in applying must complete a form at luksicfoundation.cl.
